Veteran Musician Pandit Shivkumar Sharma Passed Away

Famous and highly revered Santoor player, Pandit Shivkumar Sharma passed away on Monday. He was 84 years old and died due to cardiac arrest in Mumbai. He was the exponent of folk music in Jammu and Kashmir. He was also adept in instruments like sitar and sarod. The musician is survived by his wife, Manorama and 2 children.
 

Ladli Laxmi Scheme 2.0- Phase II

the second phase of the Ladli Laxmi scheme (Ladli Laxmi scheme-2.0) was recently launched by the Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister, Shivraj Singh Chouhan. It is an initiative to encourage girls to pursue as well as continue higher education. The scheme was launched with the purpose to make girls self-dependent in the coming future. It was started by the government of Madhya Pradesh in 2007 to elevate the economic and educational status of the girls.
