International Nurses Day 2022
International Nurses Day is observed every year on May 12 to honour the effort and dedication of nurses all over the world. In 1965, the day was celebrated for the first time by The International Council of Nurses- ICN.However, in 1974, May 12 was chosen to be celebrated as International Nurses Day. The date is also the birth anniversary of Florence Nightingale. The theme for International Nurses' Day 2022 is "Nurses: A Voice to Lead - Invest in Nursing and respect rights to secure global health".
North Korea Confirms the First Case of Coronavirus
After the confirmation of the first coronavirus case in North Korea, the country has imposed strict tules to stop the spread of the virus. According to the local media of the country the capital Pyongyang may have an outbreak of Omicron variant pf Covid-19.
Rajiv Kumar appointed as Chief Election Commissioner of India
On Thursday, the Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar was appointed as the next chief election commissioner of India. He will assume charge on May 15. He will come in the place of Sushil Chandra who demits office on May 14, a notification issued by the Law Ministry said.
Yellow Brick Path Found under the Pacific Ocean
The Ocean Exploration Trust in the Pacific Ocean’s marine experts, during an underwater exploration, found a yellow brick road-like structure at the bottom of the Pacific Ocean. One of the experts called it the road to the mythical lost city of Atlantis.
