MoHUA launches Swachh Toycathon

The Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) launched Swachh Toycathon under the Swachh Amrit Mahotsav. The goal of the competition is to investigate methods for using waste in the design or production of toys. Manoj Joshi, the secretary of the MoHUA, introduced the event on the MyGov portal and presented the toolkit.

Former Indian captain Dilip Tirkey elected as President of Hockey India

The front-runner for the position of Hockey India president, former India captain Dilip Tirkey, won the election without opposition. He was chosen after the president-elect candidates from Hockey Jharkhand's Bhola Nath Singh and Uttar Pradesh Hockey's Rakesh Katyal withdrew their names from consideration. The appointments of Tirkey and his group have been accepted by the International Hockey Federation (FIH). As secretary general, Bhola Nath has been selected without opposition.

China founds a rare lunar crystal and nuclear power source on near side of moon

A new fuel source that could revolutionise the production of clean and effective energy on Earth has been found by Chinese scientists nestled among the volcanic debris on the near side of the moon. The tiny and transparent crystal is named Changesite-(Y), after the Chinese moon goddess Chang'e is a hundred years old and is as wide as human hair.

Droupadi Murmu inaugurates Mysuru Dasara Festival 

The Mysuru Dasara Festival was inaugurated by Droupadi Murmu in Chamundi Hills, Mysuru. The president addressed the group and expressed her greetings to the Karnataka people on the auspicious occasion of Mysuru Dasara.
