Tilottama Sen won a bronze medal at the ISSF World Cup

Indian kid Tilottama Sen, 14, took home the bronze medal in the 10m air rifle event at the ISSF World Cup competition. She finished in the top eight of the ranking round with a score of 262, earning her second bronze for India and fifth overall. She also fell short of winning a gold medal by 0.1 of a point. With three gold medals, India is now leading the medal count, followed by Hungary, Britain, and Slovakia. In the coming days, there will be four more finals.

The 31st Governor of Assam, Gulab Chand Kataria, took the oath of office

The 31st Governor of Assam, Gulab Chand Kataria, has taken the oath of office. His predecessor was Professor Jagdish Mukhi. Gulab Chand Kataria, the governor, resides in Udaipur, Rajasthan. He served as Rajasthan's Home Minister and Leader of the Opposition in the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly before being appointed governor. Moreover, he served as the 9th Lok Sabha's representative for the Udaipur district.

Russia announced its withdrawal from the 2011 New Start Treaty

In the middle of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, the Russian president made the crucial choice to withdraw from the New START Treaty. On February 5, 2011, the New Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty, also known as START, came into effect. The New START treaty's primary goal is to lessen the possibility of dangerous weapons being used by the world's two nuclear superpowers. The agreement was signed in 2010 by Dmitry Medvedev, the Russian equivalent, and former US President Barack Obama.
