World Economic Outlook 2023 

The Indian economy is expected to slow down slightly in the upcoming fiscal year, according to the International Monetary Fund (IMF), which forecasted growth to drop to 6.1 percent from 6.8 percent during the current fiscal year on March 31.
The January update to the IMF's World Economic Outlook was announced on Tuesday. According to this forecast, global growth is expected to decline from an estimated 3.4 percent in 2022 to 2.9 percent in 2023 before increasing to 3.1 percent in 2024.
 

Uttarakhand Tableau Wins First Prize in Republic Day Parade 2023

The vibrant Uttarakhand tableau, which at the 74th Republic Day parade highlighted the state's biodiversity and sacred locations, took first place, while the Army's Punjab Regiment was named the best marching contingent among the three services, the government announced on Monday. The Ministry of Defence stated in a statement that judging committees selected the official winners. Gujarat's tableau won the division for people's favourite choices.
 

Murali Vijay retires from international cricket

Former India opener Murali Vijay announced his retirement from all forms of international cricket on Monday. After having a successful run in the South Zone, India Red, India A, and Ranji trophy competitions, Vijay earned his Test debut for the Indian team in November 2008.
