Chief Justice Of Jammu Kashmir And Ladakh High Court Administered Oath Of Office By LG 

Justice Nongmeikapam Kotiswar Singh was sworn in as the chief justice of the high court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh during a ceremony conducted at the convention centre. In front of Manoj Sinha, the lieutenant governor of J&K, he took and signed the oath of office. Since December of last year, the Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh High Court has been without a chief justice. Since December 8, Justice Tashi Rabstan, the senior-most judge, has served as acting chief justice, overseeing the high court. 

 

Deepti Sharma becomes first Indian to claim 100 T20I wickets 

On Thursday, February 15, Deepti Sharma surpassed all previous wicket-takers in T20Is for India. At the Newlands in Cape Town, the off-break bowler accomplished the feat during India's T20 World Cup 2023 Group B encounter against Hayley Matthews' West Indies. Leg-spinner Poonam Yadav, who has 98 wickets from 72 games, was surpassed by Deepti to establish a new record for India. She also became the ninth female cricket bowler overall, behind Anisa Mohammed, Nida Dar, Ellyse Perry, Shabnim Ismail, Megan Schutt, Katherine Brunt, Sophie Devine, and Anya Shrubsole, to record 100 wickets in T20Is. 

 

Garuda Aerospace to launch maiden solar-powered drone 

Garuda Aerospace, a drone manufacturer, will introduce the Suraj today at Aero India, a multi-purpose drone for homeland security and defence. The drone was unveiled on Monday by G. Satheesh Reddy, a former DRDO chairman who is currently Satish Reddy's scientific advisor. Basavraj Bommai, the chief minister of Karnataka, will formally launch the drone on Wednesday at Aero India in Bengaluru. By August 2023, the Suraj 1:1 prototype will be ready for flight, supporting the strategic operations of the Indian Army, Navy, Airforce, BSF, CRPF, CISF, ITBP, DRDO, MOD, and MHA. Founder and CEO of Garuda Aerospace, Agnishwar Jayprakash, told DH in a one-on-one conversation.
