Shivraj government has taken a big decision on OBC reservation in Madhya Pradesh. The state government has now implemented 27% reservation for OBC category in MP in government recruitments and examinations. Its orders have also been issued by the General Administration Department. However, at present this reservation will not be applicable to the examinations and recruitments which have been banned by the High Court.
Para-athlete Praveen Kumar has won a silver medal in Tokyo Paralympics. Praveen, 18, from Noida, jumped 2.07 meters in the final of the men's high jump T64 category and finished second. He won the silver medal with the Asian record. Broom-Edwards Jonathan (2.10m) of Great Britain captured the gold medal. The bronze medal of the event was won by Poland's Lepiota Masiejo (2.04 m).
Shardul Thakur scored a half-century in just 31 balls and he became the second Indian batsman to score the fastest half-century for India in Tests. Before Shardul, there is only Kapil Dev, who has scored a half-century in just 30 balls for India in Tests. Kapil Dev did this feat in the year 1982 by playing a Test match against Pakistan.
