A new revelation has come to light in the acid attack on a girl student in West Delhi's Uttam Nagar. According to the police, the accused Sachin had ordered acid from the e-commerce website Flipkart. After this the police has sent a notice to Flipkart. Delhi Police has asked Flipkart whether the website followed all guidelines while selling acid and whether they had asked for any government ID proof from the accused. The Delhi Commission for Women has also issued notices to Flipkart and Amazon regarding this issue.
Special CP Sagarpreet Singh told that on Wednesday (December 14) two main accused Sachin Arora and Harshit threw acid on a girl student in Mohan Garden police station area. Both were arrested earlier. During the investigation, it was found that his accomplice Virendra had taken Sachin's mobile to another place so that if the investigation is done, the police would think that Sachin's location is somewhere else. Police said that the accused had ordered acid from an online company.
He told that the accused had also learned the way to mislead the police from the crime series itself. For this, they had earlier decided that Sachin and Harshit would go to throw acid. At the same time, their third friend will be at another location with their mobile phones at the time of the incident. With this, when the police will trace the location of Sachin, it will be clear that he was not at the spot.
