Pusa Decomposer Stubble Burning:

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal launched the process of manufacturing Bio Decomposer Solution at the Government Farm situated at Khadakdi Nahar. On this occasion, the Chief Minister said that this year 4200 acres of farmland would be sprayed with this solution. For this 844 farmers have given their consent. Last year, about 2 thousand acres of farmland were sprayed with the solution.

The Chief Minister said that the Delhi government, in association with Pusa Sansthan, last year tried to find a solution to the smoke in October and November due to stubble burning. Pusa Institute has made a type of solution, which is called Bio De-composer. Earlier farmers used to set the stubble on fire because they have less time to sow the next crop. Now by sprinkling the solution of this bio-decomposer, within 15 to 20 days, the stalk of the stubble gets rotted and it is converted into a kind of manure.

Bio Decomposer to be sprayed from 5th October onwards:

Arvind Kejriwal said that like last year for crop residue management, spraying of the de-composer solution developed by Pusa Institute on behalf of the Delhi government will be done this year also. The Chief Minister said that once the solution is ready, its spraying will be started from 5th October. Apart from Delhi, the demand for Bio de Composer Capsule developed by Pusa Institute has also increased in Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh.
