Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has broken his silence on the arrest of Aam Aadmi Party MLA from Okhla and Waqf Board Chairman Amanatullah Khan. Targeting the Bharatiya Janata Party, the Delhi CM linked Khan's arrest to the Gujarat elections. He also said that many more MLAs could be arrested now.

On the arrest of AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan, Aam Aadmi Party chief and Delhi C Arvind Kejriwal also tweeted, once again accusing the Center in gestures saying that first arrested Satyendra Jain, then raided Manish Sisodia's place. Now Amanatullah has been arrested. Now many of our MLAs will be arrested.

Manish Sisodia’s comment

Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia also targeted the BJP without naming the BJP on the arrest of Amanatullah Khan. He tweeted, "First they arrested Satyendra Jain but there is no evidence against him in court. They raided my house. Nothing found. Then started a fake investigation against Kailash Gehlot and now Amanatullah Khan is arrested.

Operation Lotus is on to break every leader of AAP." Manish Sisodia said this while retweeting the tweet of Shafia Khan, wife of Amanatullah Khan. During the ACB raid yesterday, Amanatullah Khan's official handle was tweeted by his wife Shafia Khan.

Why was Amanatullah arrested?

The Anti-Corruption Branch (ACB) on Friday arrested Aam Aadmi Party MLA Amanatullah Khan in connection with alleged irregularities in recruitment in the Delhi Waqf Board. At the same time, Delhi Police has arrested Hamid Ali, a close aide of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Amanatullah Khan, after cash and arms worth Rs 12 lakh were recovered in a raid by the Anti-Corruption Branch (ACB). The ACB on Friday raided four premises in connection with alleged irregularities in recruitment in the Delhi Waqf Board.
