Delhi Police arrested six terrorists from different parts of the country, planning a bomb blast during the festive season

Delhi police arrested ISIS terrorists:

The Special Cell of Delhi Police has arrested six alleged terrorists while stating that two of them had taken training in Pakistan. The police acted on the basis of a tip-off. The Special Cell had received information that the people of Pakistan-backed terrorist groups are planning a bomb blast in Delhi and nearby areas and their target is crowded places. According to the information, two terrorists have been arrested in Delhi. Apart from this, four have been arrested from UP and Rajasthan.

DCP Special Cell Pramod Kumar Kushwaha said, “The Special Cell of Delhi Police has busted the Pakistan-backed terrorist module. Two had taken training from Pakistan. Explosives and weapons have been recovered."

Special CP Neeraj Thakur said that today there has been a big success in the campaign against terrorism. We have arrested six people in the multistate operation. Sameer, Lala, Zeeshan Qamar, Osama, Jan Mohammad Ali Sheikh, and Mohammad Abu Bakr have been arrested. 

The special thing is that out of these six, there are also two people who have returned from training in Pakistan this year. We had received input from the central agency that there is a conspiracy to carry out a terrorist incident in some cities of India, which is from across the border. In view of this input, the Special Cell of Delhi Police formed a special team that was working under the supervision of DCP Pramod Kushwaha.

What was the purpose of these terrorists?

The officer of the Special Cell said that the second component, whose job was to identify the location in major cities of India, so that bomb blasts can be done during the upcoming festive season. The things that have been recovered so far include explosives and weapons. He said that the people arrested in detail have given information about the training. We will also share these details with the central agency.
