Delhi Pollution: Breathing fresh air becomes difficult as pollution in Delhi continues to rise

People in Delhi are facing troubles in breathing fresh air as pollution in the national capital is rising continuously. No improvement in Delhi NCR’s air quality was registered on Tuesday as well. Even today, average Air Quality Index in NCR was recorded above 300, which is categorised as very poor. 

Here is the AQI registered in several areas of Delhi:

Pusa Road- 300 AQI

Shadipur- 302 AQI

Ashok Vihar- 358

NSIT Dwarka- 372

Lodhi Road- 289


According to SAFAR, there is a possibility of improvement in air quality in next two days but the air quality may deteriorate on Thursday. As per SAFAR, due to decline in air speed, Air Quality is deteriorating. Air Speed is estimated to be medium for next two days and hence, air quality can improve a bit. 

Central Pollution Control Board AQI in Delhi on Monday was registered as 322, in Faridabad as 310,Greater Noida as 300 and Gurugram as 306, Greater Noida as 317.

The least AQI was registered in Ghaziabad which was 293. Hence, Delhi’s air is still poisonous and can cause health problems to the residents.
