While in an order issued on 4th July 2021, the Lajpat Nagar Market Traders Association has been directed to show cause why action shall not be taken against them for violating the social distancing norms and the Covid-19 protocols. Considering this, the association has been asked to ensure that all the unlock SOPs in the market are imposed to the earliest and the shopkeepers shall strictly follow the Covid-19 protocols.
It must be noted that the enforcement teams were given a task to inspect the Lajpat Nagar Central Market under the supervision of the SDM of the area, and after obtaining a huge violation of the Covid-19 protocols, the market was ordered to be shut down until further notice.
However, considering the response filed by the Traders Association and a successive review of the on-ground situation of the Lajpat Nagar Market, the administration may take a decision of reopening the market.
