Dengue is spreading rapidly in Uttar Pradesh. The number of dengue patients is increasing rapidly in the rural areas of Kanpur, Bareilly, Aligarh, Fatehpur, Lucknow. Patients are also dying due to high fever. To control dengue, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has also instructed the officers to go to the field.

Urban development minister takes charge

According to the information, there are more than 8 thousand active cases of dengue in UP. On the other hand, Urban Development Minister AK Sharma, taking the ever-increasing cases of dengue seriously, has advised the officials to prepare a micro action plan to deal with dengue and malaria. 

Through video conferencing, he directed the officers of all the municipal bodies to set up dedicated command control centers at the headquarters level. In coordination with the health department, provide relief to dengue, malaria patients at the earliest. If necessary, admit serious patients to the hospitals themselves.

Special precautions for dengue patients

The Urban Development Minister entrusted the responsibility of controlling the situation in Prayagraj, Ayodhya and Gorakhpur to the Director of Local Bodies, Neha Sharma. The Municipal Commissioners of Aligarh, Kanpur and Lucknow were asked to improve the cleanliness system and deal with the present situation on a war footing. 

In Ayodhya, Prayagraj, Mathura, Vrindavan, Varanasi, and Chitrakoot and other important religious places, special precautions should be taken on dengue patients and its spread. Because here there is more movement of pilgrims and outsiders. During the review, the officials said that there have been fewer dengue cases this year as compared to last year. All civic officials participated in the virtual dialogue.
