Dengue Outbreak India:
Efforts have been intensified to save people from Dengue, Chikungunya, and other diseases including Kala-azar in Uttar Pradesh. So far, a total of 2942 patients of dengue have been registered, while 24 of Chikungunya and 37 of Kala-azar have been reported.
At the same time, the government administration is trying hard to curb the dengue outbreak in Firozabad, but the situation is getting dire. On Thursday, 12 people, including 10 children and teenagers, died in the last 24 hours.
Two more teams of specialist doctors have been sent by the Health Department for better treatment of patients in Firozabad. A total of 10 specialist doctors including Director (Communicable Diseases) Dr. GS Vajpayee will conduct a camp there for a week. Along with providing better resources for treatment to the patients, a cleanliness campaign is also being conducted.
The number of dengue patients in Madhya Pradesh so far this year has gone up to around 2,900. Of these, 1500 patients have come in the month of September alone. In the Mandsaur district, a maximum number of 800 patients have been found since 1st January.
In the last week, 34 dengue patients have been reported in the national capital. The total number of patients has gone up to 158.
According to the news agency PTI, 305 cases of dengue have been reported in Mumbai since January 2021. 85 cases have been reported this month. Dengue cases have increased in Mumbai this year.
