Due to the continuous torrential rains, a dilapidated two-storey house in Deoria district of UP collapsed. Husband, wife and a child died after being buried under the rubble of the house. An elderly woman has been injured in this incident, who has been admitted to the district hospital for treatment. The accident happened in the early hours of Monday. After which the rescue operation started around 3 am. After three hours of effort, the bodies of three people were pulled out from the rubble at 6 am.
On this incident, Deoria SP Sankalp Sharma said, 'A person living in the house, his wife and his daughter, including three family members, were taken to the hospital and died after the roof of the two-storey building collapsed. We are seeing how the roof fell. SDM Sadar, Deoria Saurabh Singh said that an old house collapsed on Ansari Road late at around 3 pm. During this three people died. The bodies have been recovered by the district administration, police department and fire brigade.
The house was very old and a family lived in it on rent. As soon as the house collapsed at around 3 am today, only one woman could come out while three people were buried under the rubble. It was fortunate that the woman who survived had come out of the house for a brief moment at that time.
SDM Sadar Saurabh Singh said that the dead include Dilip Gaur and his wife Chandni and two-year-old innocent daughter Payal. The family of the deceased used to take care of wages. At present, instructions have been given to vacate the nearby houses. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has expressed condolences to the bereaved families of the dead. He directed the DM and senior police officers to reach the spot immediately and provide proper treatment to all the injured.
