During Durga idol immersion, two groups clashed in stone pelting Chhattisgarh Clash Bilaspur

Clashes broke out between two groups during Durga idol immersion in Chhattisgarh's Bilaspur. Both the groups pelted stones at each other. Several people are reported to have been injured in the violent clash that took place in the Sadar Bazar area of Bilaspur. In a video that surfaced, two groups involved in the clash were seen vandalizing DJs and vehicles in the area. 

According to sources, policemen were not present when the procession was being taken out. The clash reportedly took place when both the factions first talked about going ahead with their procession. Security has now been tightened in the area after the incident.

A dozen people injured in stone pelting

Due to this two-sided stone pelting, there has been a stir in the city. In the video going viral, it is clearly seen that the tableau made for the idol of Durga Maa is being pelted with stones. Women are also involved with stone-pelting men, according to the information received, so far a dozen people have been reported injured in this ruckus. Those who have been sent for treatment to the nearest hospital.

Complaint filed by both the committees 

A complaint has been lodged by these two committees in the police station. On which the police have registered a crime against the concerned on the basis of both the complaints and the search is on for these people. At present, the police is engaged in its action and in search of the miscreants seen in the video.
