The Modi government at the Centre has taken major action against the Popular Front of India (PFI) indulging in 'illegal activities'. After getting the 'Terror Link', the government has banned the PFI for the next five years. Allied organisations associated with PFI have also been banned. The notification was issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs at 5:45 am.

In this regard, the evidence was scrutinised overnight by the PFI and only after that this big action was carried out. This organisation has been banned under 'UAPA'. Now in such a situation, the BJP has welcomed the ban on the organisation involved in 'anti-national activities'. After which the reactions of BJP leaders are coming out.

BJP minister’s response to the ban

While Union Minister Giriraj Singh wrote 'bye-bye' on Twitter after the ban on PFI, BJP's National General Secretary Arun Singh called it a necessary step. Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma, Karnataka CM Basavaraj Bommai and both UP deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya welcomed the ban on PFI. BJP national spokesperson Shahzad Poonawalla also called this ban an important step. You can see below how BJP leaders and ministers expressed their happiness.

At the same time, the demand for a ban on the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has started rising from the Congress side. Two days ago, Congress veteran Digvijay Singh had demanded a ban on the RSS. Today, after the ban on PFI, another big leader of Congress, Kodikunil Suresh, has given this demand.

Owaisi says the ban cannot be supported

AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi said that though he has always opposed the approach of the Popular Front of India (PFI), the ban on the radical outfit cannot be supported. Owaisi said in several tweets, I have always opposed PFI's approach and supported democratic approach, but ban on PFI cannot be supported. "Such a ban is dangerous because it is a ban on any Muslim who wants to speak his mind," he said. As India's 'electoral autocracy' is approaching fascism, now every Muslim youth with PFI pamphlet will be arrested under India's 'black' law Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).'
