On his Karnataka tour, Union Home Minister Amit Shah spoke at an election rally in the Bidar district. During this, Amit Shah took a jibe at the Congress and said, “You all must know what has happened in the North-East. The results of Tripura, Nagaland, and Meghalaya were declared yesterday, and Congress was wiped out of these states, and they lost so much that they cannot be seen even through binoculars.” The Congress won no seats in Nagaland, three in Meghalaya, and only four in Tripura.
Amit Shah stated that the Vijay Sankalp Rath Yatra will begin soon, and that it is not a symbol of the BJP’s victory resolution, but of the victory of poor people and their welfare.
The BJP and its alliance partners have returned to power in Tripura and Nagaland. It fought alone in Meghalaya this time and was successful in winning two seats. NPP president Konrad Sangma met with the governor and staked his claim to form the government, telling him that the BJP has extended its support to his party.
