Prime Minister Narendra Modi has directed that these positions be filled after a review of the status of employees in all departments and ministries.
The Prime Minister's Office announced the government's decision via Twitter. According to a tweet from the PMO, PM Narendra Modi reviewed the human resource situation in all departments and ministries and directed that the government recruit 10 lakh people in mission mode over the next 1.5 years.

According to media reports, PM Modi previously met with top government officials in April of this year. He directed the officers to prioritise the process of filling vacant positions in various government departments. So that opportunities for the country's youth can be created.
Experts are also taking note of PM Modi's decision to link it to the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Actually, the goal of creating 10 lakh jobs has been set for December 2023. At the same time, the country will hold general elections, known as Lok Sabha elections, in 2024. Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh will also hold assembly elections this year in 2022. Aside from that, elections in many other important states, including Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, and Chhattisgarh, are scheduled for 2023. All of these states are regarded as crucial in terms of the Lok Sabha elections scheduled for 2024.
