Farmers protest against the three farm laws is still going on at the borders of Delhi. From the last 9 months,farmers are demanding the withdrawal of the three laws but despite of this the government has not taken any decision yet. On Wednesday, a dead body of a person among the protestors was found hanging on Singhu Border. The dead is reportedly identified as Gurpreet Singh and is said to belong to Fatehgarh Sahib of Punjab.
After locating the dead body hanged to a Neem Tree, people reported to Kundli Police Station. Police removed the dead body from the tree and tried to identify it. The dead was identified as Gurpreet Singh, son of Gurmel Singh and was a resident of Fatehgarh Sahib. He was associated to Bharat Kisan Union, Singhpur.
But it isn’t known yet if it was a suicide or murder. The dead body has been sent for post mortem by the police and it has said that the real reason of death will be identified after the report of post mortem arrives.
The Farmers Protest is going to complete its 1 year soon and hence the Farmers Unions have decided to commence Tractor rally from November 29, when the winter session of Parliament starts. A meeting was organised by the Farmer Unions to lay down the future roadmap of the protest and many senior farmer leaders were present in the meeting.
The Farmers are protesting for the withdrawal of the three contentious farm laws that ere passed by the central government in 2020. Farmers want these three laws to be taken back whereas the government is on the other page.
