Lok Sabha by-election is going to be held in Mainpuri. This seat has become vacant due to the demise of Samajwadi Party founder Mulayam Singh Yadav. SP has fielded Dimple Yadav, daughter-in-law of 'Netaji' and wife of party president Akhilesh Yadav. In this sense, the onus of saving this 'impregnable fort' of the SP is completely on the shoulders of Dimple. He is contesting against BJP's Raghuraj Singh Shakya.
The entire Yadav family is mobilized for the Mainpuri by-election. In such a situation, a question also arises that, is Akhilesh Yadav afraid of defeat in Mainpuri? Because, the way the entire Yadav family is showing unity for this election, it also raises many questions. Has the loss of Azamgarh and Rampur Lok Sabha seats forced the Yadav family to unite? After the death of Netaji, is the SP afraid that the Mainpuri seat may also go out of their hands.
The estrangement between Akhilesh Yadav and his uncle Shivpal Yadav is well known. Many times the bitterness of both has been visible even from the public platform. But, before the Mainpuri by-election, SP President Akhilesh Yadav took the initiative. He went to uncle Shivpal's house. Touched his feet and celebrated. As a result, uncle Shivpal is going door-to-door seeking votes for 'Bahu'. Till now Shivpal, who raised the flag of Khilafat and rebellion, is sweating in the promotion of Dimple. Apart from this, other members of the Yadav family including Ramgopal Yadav, cousin Tej Pratap Yadav are also in full force
