The issue of the Indian football ban is now over. FIFA has lifted the Indian Football Association's suspension. India has also been chosen once more to host the Under-17 Women's World Cup in 2022. FIFA also claims that India can now host the Under-17 Women's World Cup as originally planned in 2022. Between October 11 and October 30, the competition will be held in Mumbai, Goa, and Bhubaneswar. FIFA had earlier on August 15 suspended the AIFF due to a major violation of FIFA's regulations and constitution. This judgement also resulted in India losing the chance to host the Under-17 Women's World Cup in October.
FIFA lifts the ban from AIFF
The All India Football Federation is now free to operate under the International Federation of Association Football (FIFAprevious )'s sanctions. Due to outside meddling in the AIFF, FIFA enforced this ban. FIFA has revised its stance on this matter and removed the ban from Indian football. FIFA had earlier declared in a statement following the imposition of the ban that it had decided to suspend the All India Football Federation due to excessive interference from outside parties. It had additionally stated that the suspension would end once they began to collaborate. With the ban lifted, India will host the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup from October 11 to October 30 as scheduled.
