Wrestlers Protest:  Wrestlers protesting at Jantar Mantar in Delhi’s capital city battled with police late at night. Since then, the climate has warmed. The entire region has a large police presence. All of the roads have been blocked off and barricaded.

After the late-night clash between wrestlers and police in Delhi’s Jantar Mantar, the atmosphere has become more heated. The Jantar Mantar site is currently blocked by the Delhi Police on all the access ways. Barricades have been used to block all roads, and normal traffic is also affected. Paramilitary forces and a sizable number of Delhi Police officers have been stationed everywhere. The Central Delhi region has also seen a rise in security from a security perspective.

What was the reason behind the Clash at Jantar Mantar?

Somnath Bharti, an Aam Aadmi Party legislator, arrived at Jantar Mantar carrying folding beds for the wrestlers, which sparked the fight. When the police didn’t allow the wrestlers from carrying the bed as per the Supreme Court’s order, the wrestlers created a ruckus, leading to the wrestlers and police fighting at the same time. The female wrestlers claim that the police officers mistreated them. A drunken police officer was captured by wrestlers. Somnath Bharti, who brought the bed, was detained by the police.
