Floods in India 2022: Flood in Gujarat, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, NDRF-SDRF support

Flood havoc continues in Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra these days. More than 200 people have died in the three states. Teams of NDRF and SDRF have taken the lead at all three places. In view of the situation, all schools in Thane have been closed till class 12. So far 89 people have died due to floods and rains in Maharashtra, 83 people have died in Gujarat. Schools, colleges have been closed in Navsari.

Rescue operations continue

Relief and rescue work is on. In Madhya Pradesh, the sky disaster has wreaked havoc. From Chhindwara to Harda, the situation is bad. The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert in five districts of MP.

Officials said that in the last three days, three people were washed away in a drain in Gadchiroli, Maharashtra. After a lot of effort, his body was retrieved. However, three more people are still missing as they were washed away in the drain. Mumbai and its adjoining areas also received moderate rain on Monday. Apart from this, after more than a week, it rained in some areas of Delhi on Monday afternoon, giving some respite from the humid weather.

Red alert issued

Significantly, the Meteorological Department has predicted heavy to very heavy rains in 33 districts of Madhya Pradesh and has issued an 'Orange Alert'. During the incessant rain here, 7 people lost their lives in the last 24 hours due to lightning. At the same time, heavy rains are continuing in Nashik district of Maharashtra, due to which the water level of many rivers has increased. IMD has issued a 'Red' alert for Nashik till July 14.
