Floods in UP and Bihar:

The monsoon rains this year have caused havoc in the country with the northern mountain regions witnessing constant landslides which have already claimed the lives of many. Regions such as Kinnaur in Himachal Pradesh, and others including Uttrakhand have been the most affected.

While other than this, the monsoon rains in 2021 have even caused a flood-like situation in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. The regions including Varanasi and Prayagraj have been the most affected due to UP floods.

The constant rains and water from the mountains have caused a rise in the water level of Ganga. With this, the water level of the Ganga has gone beyond the mark of danger in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.

These recent floods in UP, and Bihar have affected around 5 lakh people, and around 1200 houses have submerged underwater. While the people complain that no help has come for them in the past few days.

It must be noted that NDRF is conducting a rescue operation in places such as Prayagraj, and Varanasi, which are the most affected due to UP floods. And CM Yogi Adityanath on Friday was on a tour to tae a ground report on the situation due to the Floods in UP and Bihar.
