In view of the fog in Delhi NCR, Delhi Airport also tweeted about the fog at 4.30 am, in which passengers were told to implement the Low Visibility Process. Fog sheet is visible in Delhi-NCR since morning on Tuesday. In view of the haze, the IMD has issued a yellow alert, while the Airport Authority has also issued a warning for its passengers.
In the weather advisory issued by the Delhi Airport Authority, it has been said that the flight operation is going on despite the dense fog at present. Visibility at Palam airport is less than 50 metres. Keeping this in mind, the airport authority said that passengers going out of Delhi should remain in touch with the concerned air companies for their journey. Flights can also be canceled if the weather gets worse.
According to the Meteorological Department, dense fog can be seen in satellite images from Punjab to Haryana and eastern Uttar Pradesh via Delhi. Due to the low wind speed and moisture in the atmosphere, there is dense fog. Dense to very dense fog is expected for the next five days. The cold has slowly started chilling people. However, the sunshine in the day is still giving some relief to the people. According to the Meteorological Department, a further drop in temperature will be recorded in the North Indian states for the next few days.
