The actress began her career in the industry with her debut film, Student of the Year. She appeared in films such as Raazi, Gangubai Kathiawadi, Dear Zindagi, and Gully Boy, among others. The 30-year-old actress has now ventured into business. She became an entrepreneur with her clothing brands and also established a production house.
Alia Bhatt founded her own kids clothing line, Ed-a-Mamma, which caters to children aged 2 to 14. Ed-a-Mamma is now a brand worth Rs 150 crore. Alia launched her maternity wear line under the same brand that sells both comfortable and fashionable maternity wear.
The actress has also established her production company, Eternal Sunshine, back in 2021. She produced her first film, Darlings, under the Eternal Sunshine company, in which she appeared alongside Vijay Varma and Shefali Shah.
Alia has also invested in many businesses like Style Cracker and Phool.co. Style Cracker is India's first personal styling platform, curating an outfit for you based on your tastes and spending limit. The actress also contributed to Phool.co, an Indian biomaterials company founded in 2017. Phool.co is the first and most successful solution to the massive “temple-waste” problem. It creates temple products using flowers collected from temples.
