Google Doodle Celebrates International Women's Day | International Women's Day 2023 Theme

International Women's Day 2023: On March 8, 2023, International Women's Day, Google honours women all over the world with a special Doodle. The search engine giant celebrates the ways in which women support and assist one another in their daily lives through an interactive Google Doodle.

In today's Doodle, we see a woman speaking to the crowd, women standing up for their rights, women in research and medicine, and women who are each other's most important mothers-to-be.

According to Doodle artist Alyssa Winans, who created this year's doodle, "Our theme this year was 'women supporting women', so I was able to spend a lot of time reflecting on all the ways I've been supported by the other women in my life.

Winans also recognises the difficulties women have in juggling career and family obligations and the complexity of motherhood. As a homage to this incident, one of the letters in the Doodle portrays two ladies nursing their infants.

Who is Alyssa Winans?

Alyssa Winans is a talented artist who designed the Women's Day Google Doodle. On the event of International Women's Day, she said: “Our theme this year was “women supporting women”, so I was able to spend a lot of time reflecting on all the ways I’ve been supported by the other women in my life. I’m the youngest of three girls, so since birth I’ve always benefited from the wisdom and support of those who came before me! I’m grateful for that and all the ways I see women in my life standing up for each other and their values.”
