Google's parent company Alphabet recently laid off 12,000 employees and even 100 robots. These robots used to clean the cafeteria at the company's headquarters. Its decision has been taken by Google CEO Sundar Pichai.
According to a new report, the company's CEO Sundar Pichai has called off Alphabet's 'Everyday Robots' project. It is a unit under Google's Experimental X Labs. It trained 100 one-armed, wheeled robots to help clean the company's cafeteria. Many of these robot prototypes were moved out of the lab and doing useful work at Google 's Bay Area facilities.
