Gujarat Election 2022: Voting for 2nd phase begins, fate of 93 including CM Bhupendra Bhai Patel at stake- Watch Video

Voting for the second phase of the Gujarat Assembly elections is about to begin shortly. Today, voting will start on 93 seats in 14 districts from 8:00 am. In the second phase, 14 central and northern districts are included. In the 93 seats where polling will be held in the second phase, 833 candidates from all 61 political parties will decide their fate. However, 285 independent candidates are also contesting in the second phase of polling. 

For the second phase of Gujarat's 93 seats, the State Election Commission has set up a total of 14,975 polling booths on which voters will register their votes. The Election Commission has engaged 1.13 lakh election personnel for polling booths. 2.5 crore people are eligible to exercise their franchise to decide the fate of 833 candidates in the second phase. According to the Election Commission, out of 2.5 crore people, 1.29 crore are men and 1.22 crore are women. According to the Election Commission, out of all the voters, there are 5.96 lakh voters in the age group of 18 to 19 years.
