Heavy Rain in Bengaluru: Water filled at places in Bengaluru, people upset due to traffic jam

Due to heavy rains in Bengaluru, the capital of Karnataka, water-logging occurred at many places on Monday. Due to this the traffic here has also come to a standstill. Normal life is affected in many parts of Bangalore including Koramangala. The situation demands that orders for work from home should be issued by the office of Tech Rajdhani Bangalore.

Several houses submerged in the Outer Ring Road 

Bellandur, KR Market, Silk Board Junction and Varathur near the IT city's ecospace are among the affected areas. The IT corridor is also submerged while several houses in HBR Layout are submerged. Visuals showed several buses stuck in the middle of the flooded Old Airport Road. The road was submerged even after last week's rain and was visited by Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai two days ago. At the same time, heavy water-logging is also reported in Sarjapur Road, parking lots of nearby buildings are seen submerged in water.

High rainfall alert till September 9

The Meteorological Department said that a heavy rain alert has been issued in Karnataka till September 9. Light rain is expected in Bengaluru and coastal parts of the state.Yellow alert has been sounded in Shivamogga, Uttara Kannada, Dakshina Kannada, Kodagu, Chikmagalur and Udupi districts.Fishermen have been asked not to venture into the sea.

People have shared many videos of water-logging in Bengaluru on social media.In these it can be seen how vehicles and bikes have been submerged in water. The road from Spice Garden to Whitefield has been closed due to severe water logging. Many posh societies in many areas are also facing floods.
