On Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the World Dairy Summit 2022 at the India Expo Mart and Center in Greater Noida. Tight security arrangements have been made for his arrival in Noida. In view of the security, duty of two thousand police personnel has been imposed. This program is happening in India after almost 50 years.
Around 1500 participants from 50 countries are expected to participate in the event. The last such conference was held in 1974. People from all over the world and Indian dairies will participate in this. Apart from this, industry leaders, experts, farmers and policy makers will also participate in the programme.
India accounts for 23 percent of global milk. About 210 million tonnes of milk is produced in India annually and this is making 80 million dairy farmers strong and self-reliant. The success story of the Indian dairy industry will be shown in IDF WDS 2022. Indian dairy farmers will also get to know a lot about the world's best technology, systems etc. from this conference. How important this program is, it can be gauged from the fact that the PM himself is reaching to inaugurate it. Apart from this, a day earlier, UP CM Yogi Adityanath himself had reached the day before to take stock of the preparations for the program.
PM Modi said that women power represents 70 percent of the workforce in India's dairy sector. Women are the real leaders of India's dairy sector. Not only this, more than a third of the members of dairy cooperatives in India are women. India produced 146 million tonnes of milk in 2014. Now it has increased to 210 million tonnes. That is, an increase of about 44 percent.
In the four-tier security system of the Prime Minister, the SPG personnel have taken the front at the first level. At the second level, commandos of ATS (Anti Terrorist Squad) will be deployed. At the third level, there will be personnel of the Central Para Military Force. At the fourth level, the police personnel will handle the security arrangements. In view of the security of the Prime Minister and the Chief Minister, Section 144 is applicable under CrPC. Private drones cannot be flown. For the security of the Expo Center, 10 IPS, 15 Additional ACPs, 19 COs and around 3 thousand policemen will be deployed. Policemen have been called and deployed from many other districts including Bareilly, Moradabad, Ghaziabad, Bulandshahr.
