SP's Dimple Yadav has won the by-election for Mainpuri parliamentary seat in Uttar Pradesh. Now a person has alleged that he was attacked for not voting for SP. This man's wife also got a bullet in her leg. However, the police have rejected this claim. The police have denied any connection with the polling, terming it a liquor brawl.

What was the incident

On Monday (December 12, 2022) at around 10 am, 3 people came in a vehicle at Balakram Pal's house. In this, the name of one is being told as Rinku Yadav. It is alleged that all three started abusing Pal as soon as they arrived. Told them, “You knew whom to vote for. But you voted for BJP. After this you are also telling everyone. We will annihilate you." Having said this, Rinku first fired in the air and then allegedly fired at Pal as well.

Police comments on the matter

In this case, the police say that Rinku Yadav was drinking alcohol with his companions next to Balkram Pal's house. During this there was noise, which Pal protested. On this matter there was abusing on both sides and Rinku opened fire. Describing Rinku as an alcoholic, he has said that due to this he had a dispute with his father as well. He has already gone to jail. The police denied that the brawl was related to any voting incident. In this case action has been taken under section 307, 342,504 and 506 of IPC in this matter.
