In a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, nine opposition leaders, including Arvind Kejriwal, express their opposition to Manish Sisodia's incarceration in the Delhi Excise Policy case. He has criticised the CBI's behaviour in this letter by referencing democracy. PM Modi has received letters from 9 leaders.

Officials who have sent the letter

Among those who have signed the letter are Arvind Kejriwal, Uddhav Thackeray, KCR, Bhagwant Mann, Farooq Abdullah, Akhilesh Yadav, Sharad Pawar, Tejashwi Yadav, and Mamta Banerjee. The governor's office has been charged for meddling with the operation of democratically elected governments despite denouncing the abuse of agencies like ED and CBI in the letter.

In a letter to Prime Minister Modi, it is claimed that this conduct makes it appear as though we have transitioned from democracy to dictatorship. The letter claims that Sisodia's arrest was a result of a political plot and asserts that Sisodia is innocent of all charges. This move also has a strong conspiracy-theory odour about it.
