Suryakumar Yadav's ODI cricket woes persisted today as the middle-order batsman went down for a second consecutive duck at Visakhapatnam in the second ODI, once more falling victim to Mitchell Starc. Yadav was also bowled out for a duck in the first ODI by the Australian pacer, and the same thing happened in the second game of the series. Both dismissals were quite similar in that Suryakumar was caught in front of the three stumps after failing to read Starc's line and length.

Surya Kumar Yadav’s last innings

Suryakumar Yadav's most recent innings have seen him score 6, 27, 16, 13, 9, 8, 4, 34 not out, 6, 4, 31, 14, and 0. The management of the squad gave Surya a chance to win in this T20 format, but he was unsuccessful. For of reason, this ODI series could be the turning point in his career. A World Cup for ODIs will also take place this year. Surya's chances of making the World Cup team are thus looking slim if his present performance continues. Sanju Samson's name is now being considered, therefore Shreyas Iyer might be the team's first pick.
