India defeated New Zealand in the opening game of their three-match ODI series with a thrilling victory. The team has secured a 12 run victory to start the series off on the right foot. In 50 overs while batting first, Team India amassed 349 runs for eight wickets. New Zealand got all out for 337 runs in 49.2 overs.However, Rohit Sharma's Indian team will now join on Saturday, January 21, with the aim of winning the series in Raipur.
The second One Day International between India and New Zealand will start at 1:30 pm at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh Stadium in Raipur. This stadium will host its first ever international match. Even though Team India won the first ODI by 12 runs, the Kiwi team continued to pose a threat till the very end. India set a massive target of 350 runs owing to Shubman Gill’s double century while batting first after winning the toss.
