International Day of Peace 2022: Every year on September 21, people all across the world mark the International Day of Peace (also known as "Peace Day"). Peace Day, which was established in 1981 by a majority United Nations resolution, offers a day on which all of mankind can agree to put peace above all other considerations and work toward fostering a culture of peace.

International Day of Peace: History and Significance
A UN resolution from 1981 established the International Day of Peace. It was commemorated for the first time in 1982. Let us tell you that, before to 2002, it was observed annually on the third Tuesday in September. Following that, the group resolved to observe the International Day of Peace every year on September 21. The major goal of designating September 21 as the International Day of Peace is to promote collaboration and the preservation of peace on a global scale.
The 17 Sustainable Development Goals were approved by the United Nations Member States in 2015 because it was recognised that in order to achieve global peace, attention must be given to the economic and social advancement of all people and the protection of their rights. The Sustainable Development Goals address a number of concerns, such as poverty, health, education, gender equality, climate change, water, sanitation, energy, and the environment.
Sustainable Development Goal 13 (Climate Action) emphasises on the urgent need for everyone to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, foster resilience, and enhance climate change education. People need to be encouraged to use clean technologies, renewable energy, etc.
