Mahindra's Scorpio-N has been launched in India for Rs 11.99 lakh, with the top variant costing Rs 19.5 lakh. It should be noted that this price is only valid for the first 25,000 bookings and begins on July 30th. The booking process will be first come, first served, with deliveries of this SUV taking place during the holiday season. Customers will be able to take test drives in 30 cities beginning July 5.
In terms of colours and variants, the new Mahindra Scorpio-N is available in five different shades. In terms of variants, it has been introduced in five trims - Z2, Z4, Z6, Z8, and Z8L - and a total of 36 variants will be available to customers. There will be 23 diesel model variants and 13 petrol model variants.
The Mahindra Scorpio-N retains the boxy silhouette but has more rounded edges on the outside. In terms of design, the SUV has a new multi-slotted grille, a new front fascia, and a redesigned front bumper. There are new twin projector LED headlamps with integrated LED DRLs on either side of the grille for lighting. Beefy wheel arches have been added to the SUV's side profile, making the new Scorpio more muscular. Large wheel arches get 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels as well.
An electric sunroof, a flat-bottom steering wheel, and brown and black upholstery are among the cabin amenities. For connectivity with the AdrenoX user interface, the dashboard includes an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. A 7-inch fully digital instrument console, a premium 3D Sony sound system, an air purifier, dual-zone climate control, and steering-mounted controls are among the luxurious features.
The Mahindra Scorpio-N will be available with a Do engine. The first is a 2.0-litre Amstallion turbo petrol engine with 200PS and 380Nm of peak torque. Simultaneously, a 2.2-litre mHawk engine has been specified as a diesel engine, capable of producing 175PS of power and 400Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission and a 6-speed automatic transmission with best-in-class shift-by-cable technology.
The new Scorpio-N has prioritised safety. Many features are included in this model, including 6 airbags, ISOFIX child seat mount, hill hold control, hill descent assist, traction control, ABS with EBD, electronic stability programme, tyre pressure monitoring system, and a rear parking camera.
