Jalalabad Bike Blast:
A major road accident took place in the Jalalabad district of Punjab on Wednesday night when a moving bike caught fire causing a blast. The man riding the motorcycle died while getting treated at the hospital. The blast was so intense that the person rising the bike suffered several burns. The person injured in the Punjab Bike Blast died in the hospital.
According to preliminary investigation, there is a possibility of a fire in the fuel tank of the bike, that caused the explosion. The police officer who reached the spot told the media that initially, it felt like a bomb blast, it seems that the fuel tank had caught fire, which spread to the entire bike. Adding further, he said that the proper information in this matter can only be shared after the forensic investigation
According to the police, the deceased youth has been identified as a 22-year-old resident of Ferozepur, who was returning from his relative's house. When he reached near Punjab National Bank on Mandi Road, suddenly the bike caught fire and within few seconds the sound of a loud bang was heard. After the Punjab bike blast, the local people immediately rushed the injured youth to the hospital but he died there.
According to the information received, when the bike caught fire, there was another youth with him, riding on another bike, and is also said to be missing after the Punjab Bike Blast incident took place.
It must be noted that recently, terrorists were arrested from Amritsar, and considering this, a high alert has been implemented in Punjab. Therefore, the investigating agencies are intensely investigating this blast. While it is being speculated that this Punjab Bike blast is also a terrorist activity, which is the second such incident within a month, after the petrol tank blast.
