Jammu Kashmir Encounter: Jaish-e-Mohammad top commander Sham Sofi killed by security forces in Tral

Jammu Kashmir Encounter:

In Jammu and Kashmir, the security forces got a big success in the elimination of terrorism on Wednesday. The Jammu Kashmir Security forces killed top JeM Commander terrorist Sham Sofi, in an encounter in the Tral area of Awantipora in the Pulwama district, as the information was confirmed by IGP Kashmir, Vijay Kumar.

The encounter took place in Tilwani Mohalla of the Tral area of Awantipora in Jammu and Kashmir. Kashmir IGP Vijay Kumar stated that top JeM commander terrorist Sham Sofi Tral has been killed in the encounter.

Security forces launched a cordon and search operation thereafter receiving a tip-off about the presence of terrorists in Tilwani Mohalla Waggad in the Tral area of Awantipora in Pulwama district in South Kashmir, a Jammu and Kashmir Police official said. Adding further, the officer said the terrorists opened fire on the security forces, following which the security forces retaliated and the encounter broke out. During this, Jaish-e-Mohammed's top terrorist commander Sham Sofi has been killed. After this, a search operation was held again.
