Jiah Khan Suicide case verdict: After almost a decade a special team of Central bureau of investigation CBI is likely to announce their verdict on Jiah Khan suicide case today. The young actress who garnered attention from Aamir Khan’s Gajini was found dead in 2013 in her suburban residence in Mumbai. The case almost concluded its hearing during the last week but CBI judge AS Sayyad after hearing the argument reserved his judgment for today I.e 28th April 2023. As per media footage,Sooraj Pancholi was seen leaving his residence in his car heading towards the court. The son of Aditya Pancholi and Zarina Wahab was accused of abetting the suicide of Jiah Khan.

Jiah Khan at the very young age of 25 committed suicide in her Mumbai residence on June 3rd 2013. The letter, which was recovered by Mumbai police on June 10, 2013, was written by Jiah Khan, according to the Central Bureau of Investigation. Sooraj Pancholi was allegedly in a relationship with Jiah. The police described the letter and stated "intimate relationship, physical abuse and mental and physical torture”. Notably, Jiah Khan's mother, Rabia Khan, a significant prosecution witness in the case, stated during her testimony in court that she thought her daughter was murdered rather than committed suicide.

Also according to Rabia, Sooraj Pancholi was abusing and torturing her mentally and physically which forced  her to take such a step.In 2021, the case against Sooraj Pancholi was transferred to a special CBI court as the sessions court declared that it lacked jurisdiction over the matter, citing the CBI's involvement in the investigation. The basis for the charge against Pancholi was a six-page letter allegedly written by Jiah.
