There was chaos due to a blast in 5 gas cylinders at a wedding ceremony in Jodhpur. In the accident, 60 people including the groom, his parents got burnt. 2 children also died. The accident took place at Bhungra village near Shergarh at 3.15 pm on Thursday. Here there was a marriage ceremony in Takht Singh's house. The procession was about to leave the house, when suddenly the cylinders exploded. The injured have been admitted to hospital.
Collector Himanshu Gupta reached the hospital after getting the information about the incident. Dilip Kachhawa, Principal of Dr. SN Medical College, told that out of 60 injured people, 51 have been admitted to Mahatma Gandhi Hospital in Jodhpur. Of these, 8 people have suffered more than 90 percent burns. 48 people are admitted in the ward, 1 child is in ICU. While two children aged 5 and 7 died.
Where this incident took place, a large number of baraatis were present there. The scorched people were brought to Shergarh. Some people from here have been referred to the burn unit of Mahatma Gandhi Hospital in Jodhpur.
