Strategies have been made to deal with the disaster when cracks first appeared in Joshimath, Uttarakhand. The administration has set up bulldozer operations in the disaster-affected districts. To demolish damaged buildings, preparations are currently underway and significant changes have been made. After conducting the inquiry, the technical committee recently presented its report where it was suggested that the government demolish outdated buildings right away. The police-administration are also alert after painting red markers on Joshimath's homes.
The administration has so far determined the locations of 678 homes. In addition, there are two abandoned hotels that have been located. Both of these hotels are currently on the list to get demolished. Malari Inn and Mount View would both be demolished today in phases, according to SDRF Commandant Manikant Mishra. Reportedly the reason for this is that both hotels have slanted and have become very close to one another which might cause problems if it falls and that would impact the neighboring properties as well.
