Kashi Vishwanath Mandir Sawan:

The visuals from Uttar Pradesh’s Kashi-Vishwanath Temple are horrifying as the second Monday of the auspicious month of Sawan saw devotees were seen flocking to the temple in huge numbers, however, without wearing masks and not even following the Covid-appropriate protocols and social distancing norms.

These visuals clearly depict that the devotees were not abiding by the Cvid-19 protocols at the Varanasi’s Kashi Vishwanath temple. Moreover, people in huge numbers also took a dip in the holy Ganga river, and a huge crowd was gathered at the banks, (ghats) of Ganga on the Second Monday of Sawan month (Sawan Somvar).

It must be noted that as per the Covid-19 protocols issued, people are told not to step outside or visit public places unless necessary, going outside without wearing masks is a complete no-no.

The country reported around 40,000 Covid-19 cases within the past 24 hours, with 422 deaths, amidst the constant speculations of the third wave of coronavirus pandemic being made.
