Katarpur Sahib Corridor Reopen:
Kartarpur Sahib Corridor, which was closed due to the Coronavirus pandemic, is to be reopened today. Sharing information about this, Home Minister Amit Shah had tweeted and said that the Modi government has decided to reopen the Kartarpur Sahib Corridor from 17th November for the pilgrimages to visit the holy shrine located in Pakistan. A large number of Sikh pilgrims will benefit from this decision of the Modi government.
At the same time, in another tweet, Amit Shah said that the country is ready to celebrate the holy festival of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji on 19th November. He further said that I hope that this decision of the Modi government will increase the joy across the country.

It must be noted that in March 2020, the Kartarpur corridor was closed in view of the Covid-19 pandemic, although Pakistan had already opened the corridor from its side. Recently, Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi also met the Home Minister and demanded the opening of the Kartarpur Corridor.
Not only this, Shiromani Akali Dal leader and former Union Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal had also written a letter to Prime Minister Modi demanding the same. Navjot Singh Sidhu has also been raising the demand for the opening of the Kartarpur Corridor.

It must be noted that the decision of opening the Kartarpur Corridor by the Modi Government is being considered a wise decision, to which all the oppositions including Congress and Aam Aadmi Party are welcoming whole-heartedly.
