Kedarnath Yatra 2022 halted due to heavy rainfall, 12000 pilgrims journey stopped- Watch Video

Due to the continuous rains in Kedarnath Valley, the administration stopped the Kedarnath Yatra on Tuesday. Due to incessant rains in Kedarnath and halting places, passengers have been stopped at several halting places. They will be allowed to continue their journey when the weather is suitable. More than 12 thousand passengers left from Gaurikund till 10 am.

Kedarnath Yatra was also stopped on Monday

On Monday, the administration had halted the Yatra for three hours due to incessant rains in the Kedarnath Valley. On the opening of the season, about eight thousand pilgrims who were stopped at the halts were sent to Kedarnath Dham. About five thousand pilgrims have been stopped at Gaurikund and Sonprayag. At the same time, helicopter services to Kedarnath were disrupted for four hours due to fog.

The journey of Badrinath and Gangotri Dham went smoothly

The journey to Badrinath and Gangotri Dham went smoothly. The Yamunotri Highway was opened for the movement of large vehicles after five days. Pilgrims had to face trouble due to the spread of mud on the walkway to reach the Dham here.

Helicopter service disrupted in Kedarnath

It is snowing in Kedarnath and Badrinath Dham. The journey is smooth in all the three Dhams except Kedarnath. In view of the danger of stones falling from the hill on Kedarnath's foot track due to incessant rains, at present, about 12 thousand pilgrims were stopped at the halts.

Earlier in the morning, 10 thousand pilgrims were left for Kedarnath Dham in different phases. Helicopter service to Kedarnath is also affected by the weather. Its operation has been stopped. There were only seven flights in the morning.

Justice Uday Umesh Lalit to reach Badrinath on May 25

Senior Justice of Supreme Court and Chairman of National Legal Services Authority Uday Umesh Lalit will reach Badrinath. According to the tour program, Justice will reach Badrinath from Kedarnath by helicopter at 7 o'clock on May 25. Will participate in the multi-purpose camp organized at Garhwal Scouts ground near Mana and will stay overnight at Badrinath. In the camp, along with legal awareness, information about public welfare schemes run by the central and state governments will be given. Public problems will also be resolved on the spot by putting up stalls of government departments in the camp.
