Kedarnath Yatra Update: Snow attack reported in Devbhoomi. Registration for Kedarnath Yatra closed till 30th April

In Devbhoomi Uttarakhand, preparations are being made to open the entrances of Kedarnath and Badrinath on one side. Therefore, the latest Meteorological Department report is alarming. Four districts of Uttarakhand have received a snow storm alert. The Defence Geoinformatics Research Institute, or DGRI, has issued a warning for a snowstorm in the regions of Pithoragarh, Chamoli, Rudraprayag, and Uttarkashi with a height of more than three thousand metres. This warning has been sent out for the upcoming 24 hours.

The administration has also gone into alert mode in light of this. The Collector and SSP of the affected districts have also been told to exercise caution, in addition to the NDRF and SDRF. On the other side, registration for the Kedarnath Yatra has been suspended till 30 April due to the risk of snowfall in Kedarnath.
