Kisan Andolan:

Shortly after the Supreme Court hearing held on Thursday regarding the protesting farmers blocking of the way by barricades on the Ghazipur border of Delhi-UP, the barricades have been removed and the way has been opened. The farmers themselves removed the barricades on Thursday afternoon under the leadership of Rakesh Tikait, national spokesperson of Bharatiya Kisan Union.

During this, Rakesh Tikait has also announced at the UP Gate that he is getting the tents removed from the Ghazipur border and also vacating the border. Now, the farmers will go to the Parliament in Delhi to protest against the three black laws.

Delhi Police also removed barricades:

Speaking to the media on this occasion, BKU leader Rakesh Tikait said that we (farmers) have not closed the road on the Ghazipur border, but the Delhi Police has blocked the road by putting up barricades. We are removing our tents. In such a situation, if the Delhi Police also removes the barricade, then the vehicles can easily go from here to Delhi.

The barricades were removed respecting Supreme Court orders:

Rakesh Tikait said in a clarification that the Delhi Police has stopped the road, not us. The Supreme Court said that blocking the way is wrong and we respect them, so we are opening our way so that people do not face any problem. Our appeal is that Delhi Police should open the way.
