Kisan Mahapanchayat:

The Samyukt Kisan Morcha, opposing the three agricultural laws, held a Kisan maha panchayat in Muzaffarnagar on Sunday, in which farmers from Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, western UP, and Bihar participated. During this, farmer leaders fiercely targeted the Modi government at the Center and the Yogi government of the state.

Regarding Kisan Mahapanchayat, UP Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya has said that there are people of SP, BSP, and Congress, not farmers in the movement, just like the movement in Shaheenbagh was torn apart, similar will be the case of this farmer movement.

Congress in full support of farmers:

While Congress leader Salman Khurshid on Kisan Mahapanchayat said, Congress is in full support of farmers and their fight for their rights. However, Kisan leader Rakesh Tikait stated that farmers won’t return home.

Union Minister Sanjeev Balyan on Kisan Mahapanchayat:

Union Minister of State Dr. Sanjeev Balyan has given a strong reaction to the Kisan Mahapanchayat. The Union Minister of State said that Panchayat is the right of the farmers, but the basic issues of the farmers have been lost in the agitation. There should be a talk on sugarcane price, power, and MSP. Farmer leaders do not want to talk about real issues. The real agenda is politics, not farmers.

BJP leader Varun Gandhi on Muzaffarnagar Mahapanchayat:

While BJP leader Varun Gandhi extending his support towards the farmers, tweeted “Lakhs of farmers have gathered in protest today, in Muzaffarnagar. They are our own flesh and blood. We need to start re-engaging with them in a respectful manner: understand their pain, their point of view, and work with them in reaching common ground.”
